Christmas Specials

The Suburbs instalment was truly great!
It was certainly one of the most interesting episodes we've done so far and I can't thank the performers enough. Here is a link to the recording of the show:http://www.mixcloud.com/coreymombourquette3/lilah-kemp-reading-series-suburbia/

I love Christmas specials more than the holiday itself. My sisters and I had a tradition of staying up all night on Christmas Eve and watching holiday specials until we passed out. We had them all on a VHS tape, recorded from 1980's television, commercials and all, and even though our tradition is now broken, that tape was probably my favorite part of the holidays.
So, this Holiday special will be organized like a cheesy Christmas special you'd see in the '70's or 80's. There will be a set and decorations. I will be hosting the event in a sweater, holding a cup of hot cocoa, with a dumb smile plastered on my face the whole time. I'm basically pretending that the event is a Dean Martin Holiday Special that you'd see on CBS in the 1970's. There will be readings from Carol Bruneau, Christina Canales, and David Huebert, a theatre piece by Johnelle Sciocchetti, stand-up comedy from Dave Burke, and MAGIC from the great Bill Wood!
This episode is titled "Lilah Kemp Reading Series: Holiday Spectacular!" and it's happening on DECEMBER 19th at the Bus Stop Theatre (2203 Gottingen street)
8:30pm
Pay what you can!

SUBURBIA

Last month's show was spectacular!

Thanks again to Kathleen Higgins, Matthew Lee, Shane Beehan, Trevor Corkum, and Kaleigh Trace for sharing their sex stories. If you have not yet checked out L.K. @ the Bus Stop, you are missing out. Listen: http://www.mixcloud.com/coreymombourquette3/lilah-kemp-reading-series-written-on-the-body/

The last two shows have been fantastic and the next one, titled "Suburbia" will our most ambitious episode to date.

Actor Glen Matthews, ('Roller Town', 'Hobo With a Shotgun') will be performing in a preview scene from the new play "Poem for the Smallest Boy", written by Kristin Slaney. 'PFTSB' will be premiering at the Bus Stop Theatre on November 22nd (the night after L.K.) and will run for two nights. We will most likely be using their set.
There will be dioramas, music, and stories from Chris Benjamin, Shashi Bhat, Andie Bulman, Rachel Caroline Derrah, Nick Dourado!
