WE'RE BACK!

Hello Halifax!

I'm excited to announce that Lilah Kemp will be returning for a fourth season, beginning August 26th, 2014.
I will be hosting the new instalment at my house on Pepperell street, and the series will move to different venues throughout the season, as always.
For anyone new to the series, here are some quick notes:

1. This reading series began in 2011 as a salon-style reading series, hosted in the living rooms and backyards of my good friends.

2. The series has expanded to involve music and various types of performance art, usually centred around a theme. The last season was more theatrical, as it took place at a wonderful venue on Gottingen street called The Bus Stop Theatre.

3. This new season will be a mix of both backyard readings and public venue readings.

4. ANYONE can participate. If you're a writer and you'd like to read your fiction or poetry to an audience, please contact me at: c.m.mombourquette@gmail.com and I will get back to you.

5. As always, each instalment will combine readings from professional authors and emerging authors. If you've read for this series before you are more than welcome to come back and read.

6. Still confused as to what exactly this is? It's basically a party where writers drink wine and beer and read stories out loud. It's great fun. Come check it out for yourself on August 26th!

I will update this blog soon with more details, as well as the list of readers/performers.
Check back soon.

Spread the word!
Let's have some fun!
